ARTHUR COURT

GENERAL INFORMATION

Service provided:  specialist care and support for the mentally ill which can include some physical limitations.  The client must be mobile and able to move freely and independently around the Home with the use of walking stick or small walking frame.  The Home is suitable for people who have a long-term mental health problem and are aged from 18 years old.  We accept the challenge of helping a client return to live independently in the community and can provide a full social skills and educational rehabilitation service.  Vacancies permitting, we welcome Respite stays. 

 We do not provide a service for people with challenging behaviour.

The home is constructed on four floors with access by stairs and a lift.  A call bell system and a Fire Alarm System are installed throughout the home.  A client kitchen is located on the ground floor for clients to use under supervision.  There is a laundry area with domestic washing machines available to clients to the rear of the garden.  The garden is sheltered with a free-standing wooden smoking room/sun-lounge and a decorative fish pond next to an attractive patio area and lawn.

Client Care : nominated carer with specialist Training in Diabetes and Tissue Care.

THE EQUIPMENT INSTALLED

Passenger lift giving access to three floors on right hand side and the top floor of the left hand side is regularly maintained under contract

Toilet/bath aids handrails and raised toilets

Bath hoist

Non-slip shower base, non-slip mats

Handrails and grab rails which are regularly inspected and maintained

Ramps regularly inspected and maintained

All mobility aids are maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions.
